If you’re a writer and you’re probably thinking; you’ll never be noticed, your story is not good enough, there’s no one to encourage you, writers don’t have a future and there’s no point in continuing… You’re the real deal.
Here are few reasons why you should keep writing:
No one will write the way you do: every writer has a unique writing voice, it makes you different from every other writer. A unique writing style. The way you piece words together, make something up from your twisted mind and still make it readable and impactful to your readers, that is something you should never throw away.
Think of all the possibilities: Imagine what your paperback will smell like. Think about holding a copy of your work in your hands, it could be made into a movie or tv show. It’s something you’ll always be remembered for. Something you’ll always live with. Your readers will fall in love with your story so much they’ll talk about it, choose a character’s side and all of that. Think Harry Potter, think Harry Potter fans. How cool would it be to finally see the outcome of your perseverance?
You get to push yourself beyond physical limits: you are able to dive deeper into the furthest part of yourself to share something of value and still blow the mind of your readers, imagine making your audience weep over an antagonist and wish he had repented instead of dying. The most beautiful part of writing is, it gives you the license to become anything or anyone you want and you can create anything from your mind. You get to create an unimaginable world, with incredible characters and settings. Explore dialogues, descriptions and play around with words.
Sometimes we forget we’re not just writing for people, we’re writing to learn, unlearn and relearn things.
Isn’t it just amazing?
Publishing maybe hard but the joy of the freedom that comes with being a writer despite the odds of reality is enough to keep you going. Hope you don’t give up.
