Why? I’ve been with people and I’ve heard several –
“If I had known, I would have given anything not to be in my current situation.”
“It wasn’t like this in the beginning”
“I’m so done.” …
I’d never Stan Child marriage.
Most of these girls don’t even know what they’re getting into before they get into it.
They don’t have enough kind of exposure to understand how life and personal development works, talk more of how marriage works!
At the age of 13, 14…. you are warming up to be in some background doing home chores and making babies!
Marriage is such a big deal for me… and when I hear child marriage I try to imagine what’s it’s like to start a whole new phase of life at a very young age with little or no experience!
I try to imagine if I were a parent how I’m supposed to feel knowing my girl is not mentally prepared but I still have to give her up for marriage…
Child marriage is a No No for me!
I’d never Stan that.
Some people say it has benefits and all.
If people think that a child who has started seeing her period – is ready for reproduction and can do home chores is eligible for marriage then I’d call them big ass fools!!
What can be done to help the situation?
Reorientation.
Girls most especially,
They need to know their worth! Understand that there’s so much more to become as a girl!
We have that much power cause we all came here on earth to fulfill a certain purpose… sometimes marriage makes that fulfillment complete, beautiful and other times in case of Child marriage it breaches it!!
Parents need reorientation too!
They should understand their children have a life of their own. You didn’t give birth to them so they can reach some certain age and alleviate poverty through child marriage.
They have feelings, purpose… they need to be mentally ready and developed !
To the men who marry these children…
You need a life partner not a slave or someone who would hang like a photo on the wall of your house.
A life partner is someone who is ready – mentally, physically, sexually, Morally and spiritually, to spend a life time building and being with you!
This is my opinion on child marriage, I’m in no way whatsoever telling anyone out there what to do or how to live their lives.
