3 things I learnt from the SANDMAN by Neil Gaiman

1. Humans are weird. It’s best to put it that way, than say stupid (which makes us utterly human). We are driven by deep (dark) unchanging desires, which ruin or make us formidable. Desires make us dreamers, fearless questers, hopefully vibrant, and other times, thoughtless.

2. Nothing prevents death. It’s as natural as being born. Yet we are so scared of it. Not everyone believes in death. Some people don’t ever wish to die no matter the misery, because they believe they’ve got so much to live for. The more they find new things of interests, the more they hang on to the thought of never wanting to die.

3. Life is short and long. We humans are more fortunate than we think. We have more freedom, even though we don’t see it. Our vulnerabilities attract so many unfortunate circumstances. These circumstances make us miserable, and it makes us wish we are endless. Truth is, we have a will of our own. To make our own choices, change our fates, questions things… make mistakes and learn from them. Being human may seem hard, unbearable and pointless but it’s crazy, fun, spontaneous. It’s one way to describe freedom.

Have you seen the show
